October 8th, 9th, and 10th brought Methacton United’s U17 Girls Soccer Team to Boyds, Maryland to play in the Columbus Day Discovery Cup Tournament against some excellent competition.  The great weekend resulted in four impresive wins and the girls surrendered just one goal in almost five hours of soccer.  The girls played their hearts out and impressed the other coaches as well as the refs at each and every game. 
 

We won all three games in our bracket to get to the finals and after a seventy minute final with two five minute over time periods the game ended tied 0 - 0. We then went to PK’s and with Jordyn’s save and the final goal by Simone we won 4 - 2 to win the tournament.  Thanks for a great weekend with some great parents, great young ladies, and fabulous soccer players with a lot of heart and amazing attitude.
