Tournament Recap: 10/10/2004 - Thunder Takes White Water Challenge Cup It was Thunder's second tournament this season and a first tournament win for Coach Barlow. There was a steep angle to the pitch and most goals were scored downhill, but Thunder overcame that problem and by keeping the ball in the opponent's end, scored uphill as well as downhill to sweep their division. Thanks to all who were able to make the trip. It was great - the rafting, the dinner (with the players table), the general team building, and of course the great WIN ! Fantastic !  The Thunder played as a TEAM. They are really looking to and executing the passes. This opens up the whole field and gets everyone involved. It was great. Everyone played very well and they should all be proud. Since the girls got medals and there is only one trophy, I'd like all the girls to have the trophy for a week. During their week, please have them put their name on the underside of the trophy, small enough to fit 12 players. We'll rotate the trophy on Saturdays. And to start, the Palmers have it (thanks again, Maureen for setting this all up :-) Once again - thanks for a great weekend. On and off the field, this is a very special group of girls (and parents).
