U-11 Storm Game Recaps

Saturday October 7 Western Lehigh Tournament

Saturday, September 30 Delaware Shutout!

The Storm traveled to Hockessin and tied the Angels 0-0. The goaltending and defense was excellent on both ends of the field. Storm Keepers Madeleine and Alex put together their first PAGS shutout of the season. Jessie M. Jessica H. and Rachael led the defense in clearing out the Angel shooters.  Gianna, Carly, Brittany and Allison all had quality chances on net but the Hockessin goalie had a nice game. The midfield play of Kayleigh, Dorothy and Morgan all pushed the play up and shutdown the Hockessin offense.

Saturday, October 14 Storm Blanket!

The second straight week the Storm played great defensively shutting down the Middletown Dynamites at Heebner and preserving a 0-0 tie. Alexandra had several great saves in her return to the pipes to help out her teammates in their defensive shutdown. Jessica H. had two excellent shots that the Middletown keeper made great saves on. Kayleigh’s apparent goal late in the match was disallowed on a takedown call in the penalty box. It was the second straight PAGS shutout for the Storm’s defense!

Saturday, October 21 Winter “Storm” Arrives on Time!

The Storm played another great defensive game defeating the Ridley Rough Riders 2-0 at Heebner Park. Alex and Madeleine both played great in goal to record the third team shutout in a row on their opponents in PAGS play. Brittany’s first goal of the season started the Storm outbreak with a blast just outside of the penalty box . Carly tallied the second score in the second half to put the game away with a nice set of moves around two Rough Rider defenders! The stellar defensive play of Jessie M., Gianna and Dorothy were big keys to the win. Allison, Kayleigh and Jessica H. controlled the Midfield and pushed the ball forward all game long and had assists on the goals.
